OUR STORY

Our story started at Jangu International, together with interested members constructed the first houses from plastic bottles, after realizing how beautiful they are and the potential they have to solve different challenges in the most marginalized communities, Johnmary Kavuma and  David Monday decided to spearhead the company formulation as well as scaling the solution to other parts of Uganda because of their passion and past backgrounds

2015

Community  construction of plastic bottle houses at Jangu International to make houses and empowerment spaces.

2016

More houses are constructed at Jangu International attracting different  groups of people to come and have a look.

2017

Formulated a team to become more skilled in the construction of houses from plastic bottles 

2018

The Team legally bought the name Upcycle Africa from Original Owner and started the construction of eco-homes.

2019

Working on the business model, company formulation and recruitment of different team members

2020

Partnertship with different organisations, gaining international audiance as well as getting local contruction deals.

2021

Exporting the solution to other African countries, train youth and wmen in Trash to Fuel among others. 

2022

Training women and youths in transforming waste into products of inherent value, re-installing the team.
